Brazilian Naval Fellowship
The idea for the creation of UMEM occurred in 1993 at the Naval Base of Rio de Janeiro, when a group of soldiers decided to form an organization. This organization decided to get together and have a fellowship for praise, Bible study, prayer, testimonies, and preaching the Word of God a the lunch break in at the Navy.

The Canadian military community is unique in Canada. By its nature it is an institution, a system and a distinct culture that is separate from all others by virtue of its values, history, norms, behaviours, language, operational experiences, social hierarchy, social expectations and lifestyle; characterized by mobility, separation and risk. It is estimated that the size of this community in Canada, exceeds one million.
